Rebekkah Lee, LMT

Rebekkah customizes each session to address the specific needs of her clients using a whole body approach. Drawing from each of her modalities, she works with her clients to tailor their sessions to promote healing on both a physical as well as an energetic level.

Each visit targets specific areas of tension and imbalance to help her clients create balance and improve function. The goal is that they leave their sessions with a renewed feeling of health, rejuvenation, and relaxation as well as tools of empowerment to care for their well being.

Massage Background

Rebekkah received her degree in Occupational Studies of Massage Therapy with a focus on Advanced Eastern Studies (Shiatsu) at the Swedish Institute, New York (2008), the oldest continuously operating massage therapy institution in the United States. With well over 1000+ hours of training, she is well versed in anatomy, physiology, neurology, kinesiology, pathology, first aid, and CPR.

After completing her studies at the Swedish Institute, she received certification in Prenatal and Postpartum Massage Therapy and Infant Massage, studying extensively with Susanrachel Condon of Niara Healing Arts. These programs emphasized the anatomy and physiology of pregnancy, the use of bodywork as an adjunct to prenatal care, and using massage as a means of developing deeper kinesthetic awareness in preparation for labor, birth, and postpartum recovery. This advanced study allows her to work effectively and with empathy with women through each stage of motherhood.

Her 200+ hours of continuing education includes but is not limited to: Upledger CranioSacral Therapy, Shiatsu, Natural Facelift Massage with Yuri Esperson, Advanced Muscular Therapy - Deep Tissue and Myofascial Work for the Shoulder and Knee with Dr. Ben Benjamin, PhD, LMT, Orthobionomy, Jade Stone Facial Massage (Gua Sha) with Ping Zhang, PhD, LMT, LAc, Advanced Myofascial Techniques - Head, Neck and Jaw with Til Luchau and Advanced Trainings, and Active Assisted Stretching for Injury Rehabilitation with The Benjamin Institute.

In addition to her private practice, Rebekkah has been a massage therapist for 8+ years at Shibui Spa at the Greenwich Hotel - one of the top rated spas for therapeutic massage in NYC.
